Leo was born in Denmark and spent his childhood there. His first school was the proverbial red schoolhouse! When the family moved to town, he remembers that drawing was one of his favourite subjects in school. In his 20’s Leo immigrated to Canada and settled in B.C.
With his wife and three kids, they explored B.C, camping and canoeing. In 1972 the family moved to the Okanagan after a long road trip, which included Mexico. Since that time they have gone many times to that colorful country where Leo sketches and paints.
Leo has worked in a variety of jobs and when he retired, he started making name signs. Leo is a self-taught artist and is a member of the Oliver Sagebrushers.
Leo’s grandfather did woodwork, and his father painted and he is happy to see his grandchildren following suit.
